Here is the most recent sketch, as you can see I have caved and moved the laundry to where the other wet areas are, but in return I get to keep the study which Luke wanted to delete!

Will keep the updates coming along, however it is proving to be a bit of a slow process for us and we don't expect much to happen over the next month or so...in the mean time, the old house is still on the block & the back & front yards are horrendously overgrown!! Oh well, have to wait a while before we can knock it down!!

I found you on homeone.com.au and i am trying to get a working group of JG King customers together. So call me when you have a minute 03 8634 4378 cheers tristan.
Tristan,
we started building with JG King in October 2006, we are still yet to see the project completed. The quality of workmanship is horrific.
Project management and supervision is nonexistant.
The problems are many and have been through all aspects of the build from the slab, drainage, frame, plasterwork, brickwork, carpentry, paintwork, plumbing.
JG King management is difficult to deal with.
All I can suggest is dont go there!!
Hi
We are in a similar position to you. We are looking at getting local contractors to do our build.
We have some experience as we built and project managed our build in the UK. However we are finding it more difficult re. sourcing materials and contratctors.
Perhaps we can compare notes.

Hi Tristan - firstly my sincere apologies for not responding to your comment, I must admit I left this blog to the side while I attended to other things!! I am so glad we have chosen to do what we are doing - which is - going Owner Builder!!
I am just about to update the posts here...how are you going with your plans? Who did you end up going with?? There are a couple of people on Homeone that looked at JG King but didnt end up going with them for one reason or another....
Hope it has all worked out for you,
Cheers
Ruth
Hi Elaina, how are you going with your project? We are finally started - all the preliminaries are done and I have a detailed spreadsheet I developed to help manage all the stages!
